"Bold Standard" is about how to use color in unexpected ways. "Good Bones" showcases architectural details. "Less Is More" focuses on creating a minimal look within a traditional interior. "Eclectic Exuberance" celebrates a collected appeal. "Night and Day" is a new look at the classic, graphic pairing of dark and light colors. "Haute House" looks at accessorizing with fashion-inspired elements. "Age Appropriate" is about creating rooms that cater to lounging, and nesting: kids' bedrooms, family rooms, reading nooks, homework areas. "Corey Damen Jenkins’s first book offers an enticing glimpse into the newly christened AD100 designer’s bold interiors. Subsections focus on areas of his expertise, rife with examples of comfortable, lush lounging spaces, elegant architectural details, and his celebrated mastery of color. A foreword by Jamie Drake spells it out: 'The peacock has historically been a symbol of renewal and immortality, and in ancient mythology its tail is seen as having the ‘eyes’ of the stars. I think of Corey, and his work, as this gorgeous bird in the best sense. Personally, he is imposing and serene, yet full of vivacity. Likewise, the spaces he designs are restful yet deliciously piquant, always with a daring touch of boldness (or quite a few) added assuredly into his schemes.'" — ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST.COM
"Something borrowed, something new: ELLE Decor A-List designer Corey Damen Jenkins weds time-honored and contemporary styles in Design Remix: A New Spin on Traditional Rooms." —ELLEDECOR.COM
"Acclaimed for projects in Michigan and New England, the classically minded Detroit-based designer has found success by doing things his own way." —1STDIBS.COM
"Corey Damen Jenkins is nothing short of an inspiration. If you’ve ever come across his work, you’ve undoubtedly been struck by the vibrant colors and joyful lines that have become his signature. You have probably also encountered the inspiring story of his career, which rose like a phoenix from the ashes after the crash of 2008. What you might not know, though, is how that love of color and eye for design got started. In his just-published debut book, Corey shares the story of his upbringing and how influential the city of Detroit is to his style. The book also does something very few other design books do: teach." —ONEKINGSLANE.COM
